Documentary 'the Devil's Miner' (we just visited that mine..)
We visited a real working mine in Potosi (Bolivia). Safe to say I’m still in shock. It was the real thing; dark, hot, hard to breath, claustrophobic (places where you had to crawl to move on), dangerous and rough. The mines are hell. And in this hell we met this boy, only 15 years old, who had been working there for three years. When we met him, he was digging on the end of a dark long narrow tunnel just big enough for him. Dust everywhere. No air. To many people in that small space. I really, really wanted to get out of there. Luckily for me, we could. To breath the cool air and to see the sun again has never been this good. And we have only been inside for two hours. The Devils Miner is an amazing documentary about a boy just like the one we met, about his life, his work in the mine we visited (Rosario Mine) and his dreams. Watch it. This is one of those things that needs to be seen. Trust me.
